Car Insurance Jeep (Car Insurance). how much can i get for my car at a junkyard?how much can i get for my car at a junkyard? i bought a 1997 BMW 740iL with 194,000 from a "dealer" and he said he would send all the papers within a week and it has been almost 3 months and still nothing and all i got was a paper with the guys name, the dealership address, and the address for the auction place. i have no idea how to get a title so i was wondering if i could sell it to a junkyard and if so how much money can i get for it. Maybe 100 dollars with no title. You really should contact the Dmv and see what your state has in the system on the car it might be stolen. You should report the dude so no one else gets ripped off! But most people who buy cars usually put it in their name right away or contact the seller and get things fixed. Did you try to call him or is something fishy here? Just got to the revenue office and get a form for a lost title. The junk yard needs a title also. Contact the DMV and let them know that the person never sent the title. They get pretty aggressive going after those people. Auto parts : Fan Variable Speed Module Acura 1995 . Feeler Gauge Alfa Romeo 1996 . Fender Cover Audi 1997 . Fender Flare Hardware BMW 1998 . Jeep . What Kind of Gas Does a V-12 Take?Engines with 12 cylinders, being high performance engines, are particularly rare in the automotive world today, being relegated exclusively to the ranks of high-performance sports and luxury cars. V-12 engines were more prevalent before the 1940s, when the V-8 engine began to become the prominent engine used in new vehicles. V-12 engines both new and old typically cannot be run on 89-octane gasoline due to their high-performance needs. In some cases, additives are required, while in other cases, nothing short of the highest octane gas available on the street will suffice. Vintage V-12 Engines Vintage V-12 engines, particularly those produced before 1971, require a lead additive in the fuel in order to run correctly. Otherwise, you will begin to notice a pinging or knocking sound coming from the engine as well as a lack of horsepower. Prior to 1971, gas in the United States had a lead additive that helped to lubricate the engine. In addition, fuel "grades" were non-existent, particularly in the very early years in which V-12 engines were produced. For this reason, it is best to run 92 or higher octane gas in vintage V-12 engines along with a bottle of lead additive. While these are no longer made with lead in many cases, they do provide the lubrication these old engines need to run efficiently. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin High-performance V-12 engines --- such as those installed in sports cars from Ferrari, Lamborghini and Aston Martin --- require the use of high-octane gasoline in order to run at their peak performance. Because these engines are tuned to such high tolerances, their engines are specifically designed to use 93 or higher-octane gas, up to 104-octane racing fuel. Anything less won't necessarily damage the engine, but the performance of the car will suffer significantly. Bugatti, Maybach, Rolls-Royce Like sports cars, hyper-luxury automobiles use high-test gasoline as their recommended fuel of choice, though they are more capable of using lower grade gas if necessary. Bugattis, Maybachs and Rolls-Royce automobiles are capable of running on 90-octane gasoline or higher. Lower octane levels than 90 will impact the performance of the engine. Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW Entry-level luxury cars from Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW, when fitted with V-12 engines, are capable of running on practically any type of gas, though using 87 or 89 octane gasoline will impact the performance of the engine. If nothing else is available, use the 87 octane, but purchase an octane booster to put in the tank, as well. These high-performance engines are tuned to use 91-octane gasoline or higher.
Jeep . How to Convert Tank Size to GallonsConverting the volume of a tank from one measure to gallons requires only two pieces of information: The measurement from which the volume is being converted and a figure by which to multiply it. If, for example, you know the number of liters a tank holds, simple multiplication of the equivalent in gallons of one liter by the volume in liters will yield the volume in gallons. Conversions from cubic meters or pints to gallons require the same process. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Liters Step by Step : 1 Determine the volume in liters of the tank in question. 2 Multiply the number by 0.264172052. 3 View the number produced. This is the volume of the tank in gallons. Cubic Meters Step by Step : 1 Determine the volume in cubic meters of the tank in question. 2 Multiply the number by 264.17205. 3 View the number produced. This is the volume of the tank in gallons. Pints Step by Step : 1 Note the volume in pints of the tank in question. 2 Multiply the number by 0.125. 3 View the number produced. This is the volume of the tank in gallons. *cc The following steps explain the proper way to use a specification sheet to obtain the right parts for your vehicle: 1. Armed with your Specifications Record containing the information about your vehicle, look up your vehicle by make and model under the proper year on the spec sheet at the store. For my first car, Tweety Bird, I looked under 1967, then under Ford, then under Mustang, then under "200 cu. in. 6 Cyl. Eng. (1 bbl.)" — which means that Tweety had an engine displacement of 200 cubic inches, a 6-cylinder engine, and a single-barrel carburetor. . Chapter 12: Keeping Your Electrical System in Tune 27 2. Write down the following information from the spec sheet at the store in the appropriate columns on your Specifications Record: If you're just changing spark plugs, here's all you need: • Spark plug gap: The proper space there should be between the center and side electrodes of each spark plug. 494

The points and condenser are sometimes packaged together as a tune-up kit. You may not need to replace the cap and rotor now, but the data will be handy when you do. Changing \four Spark Ptuqs How often you replace spark plugs depends on the type of plugs you have. You may have 30,000-mile plugs, or — if the plugs have platinum tips — they may be good for up to 100,000 miles. (For detailed information about what spark plugs do, see Chapter 5.) Finding your spark plugs Of course, before you can change your spark plugs, you have to find them. Look for a set of thick wires (or thin cables) that enter your engine block in neat rows — on both sides if you have a V-6 or V-8 engine, or on one side if you have a straight 4- or 6-cylinder engine (also called an in-line engine). These spark-plug wires run from the distributor (or ignition coil) to the spark plugs. O t O Part III: Keeping Your Car in Good Condition, System by System Jeep . Before you take care of your spark plugs, you must understand what the terms cylinder sequence and firing order mean. Cylinder sequence The cylinder sequence of an engine is the order in which the cylinders of the engine are numbered. This sequence varies from one type of vehicle to another, depending on whether it has front-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive and whether the vehicle has a "straight" (sometimes called "in-line") engine, a V-type engine, or a transverse engine. Here are cylinder sequences for all of these: In all U.S.-made straight 4- and 6-cylinder vehicles with rear-wheel drive, the cylinder nearest the front of the car is called the #1 cylinder. The numbering for the rest of the cylinders (#2, #3, #4, and so on) runs in sequence back toward the firewall at the rear of the engine compartment (see Figures 12-2 and 12-3). Some foreign-built cars reverse the cylinder sequence. The #1 cylinder is at the rear, near the firewall. If you have a foreign car and no owner's manual, ask your local dealer where your #1 cylinder is. Cylinder sequence Jeep . Starting problems in Toyota Serra 95?
